Quick Class Survey

What is this "Instant Class Survey?"

Here's how it works:
  1. In the class where you're teaching, you need to have at least one running computer connected to the internet.

  2. Go ahead and start teaching the way you always do.

  3. At some point, stop and pose one or more multiple choice questions to your students. The students can work in groups or independently.

  4. When done, tell your students to form their "answer code" which is simply all of their answers strung together. For example, say student/group X has answered your questions, and for #1 they got A, for #2 they got D, and for #3 they got C. Their "answer" code would be ADC.

  5. Be sure your internet computer is ready (see below). After they've formed their "answer code" have each student/group leader comes up to your internet computer and type in their "answer code."

  6. When everyone is done, this system will give you an output that tells you which answers your students chose. Click here to see a sample of what you'll get.
